Opening
15 minutes of short narrations by Progetto Apollo, a young company of university students specialised in the narration of science through storytelling.
Augmented Lecture
By and with Massimo Bernardi (MUSE palaeontologist) and Stefano Detassis dramaturgical support and direction by Maura Pettorruso
The protagonist of this Augmented Lecture is palaeontology. Fossils tell stories of life and endings, of disappearances, of falls and catastrophes and at the same time of explosions of diversity, of palingenesis, of rebirth. Can fossils therefore be wise narrators to be addressed in the midst of a great transformative crisis, the Anthropocene, 'our' era? Connecting past and present, data and emotions, this journey into big history, into the deep time narrated by rocks, we will look into the eyes of a trilobite to understand something about us. And we will talk about apocalypse and the end. And what happens next.
