Augmented Lecture
By and with Valter Moretti Department of Mathematics, UniTN) and Andrea Brunello
Mathematics allows us to create possible worlds that the physicist/mathematician tries to simplify and get to the essence. In this Augmented Lecture we explore how the use of Mathematics in the study of Physics can create possible worlds that are logically consistent but then, when tested by physical facts, in most cases do not represent reality. Thus, physical experience acts as a discriminator to help us understand which mathematical universe we live in.
